The United Kingdom represents the sixth world economy and the third in Europe with a nominal GDP of 2,945 billion dollars and a per capita GDP of about 45,000 dollars in 2014. The service sector is the driving force, which contributes to 4/5 of the national GDP, followed by the industry (about 20%), while agriculture only concur in residual (less than 1%). As far as the manufacturing sector is concerned, there is evidence of relocation phenomena in the homeland of British companies that had relocated abroad.

With regard to investments, there are many companies from all over the world investing in England, for the potential that this market offers. Among the main sectors in which investments from abroad stand out are those of energy, defense, precision engineering, creative and digital industries (ICT), and of course the most traditional sectors such as fashion, ‘furniture banking and financial services and mechanics.
